1 for All

1 for All

Mission:
To improve understanding of and build support for First Amendment freedoms.

Background:
Launched on July 1 with support from news, arts, educational, and religious organizations, the 1 for All campaign is a national nonpartisan program designed to build understanding and appreciation of the First Amendment through education and information.

Outstanding Web Features:
The 1 for All site includes an FAQ about the First Amendment and lesson plans for elementary and secondary school educators drawn from materials prepared by the Newseum and the First Amendment Center. The site also has information about the Liberty Tree Initiative, a program sponsored by the McCormick Foundation that provides thought-provoking programs and speakers for colleges and universities nationwide. In addition, visitors to the site can explore video submissions from the campaign's video contest and photos from the Take a Stand for the First Amendment group on the photo sharing Web site Flickr.
