Mission:
To celebrate the act of giving by spotlighting the creative ways individuals can give throughout the holiday season.

Background:
Inspired by #GivingTuesday, an online movement to encourage people to “give back” on the first Tuesday after Thanksgiving, the Case Foundation has partnered with Crowdrise, SixDegrees.org, Network for Good, Benevolent, and other organizations to launch “5 Giving Tuesdays” — a campaign to promote “giving back” on every Tuesday in December. To that end, the foundation will award grants and prizes totaling $100,000 — including $75,000 in matching grants and bonus grants through the #GivingTuesday Challenge — to nonprofits and individuals between December 3 and January 6.

Outstanding Web Features:
Visitors to the site can help participating nonprofit organizations win an additional $15,000 in grants by making an online donation via the foundation’s #GivingTuesday Challenge page or Benevolent. Visitors to the 5 Giving Tuesdays page also are invited to enter the 5 Giving Tuesdays sweepstakes by pledging to give back in one of five ways: make a donation to a nonprofit, volunteer their time or participate in a service project, donate clothing, choose holiday gifts that benefit a nonprofit, or make a resolution to “do good” in the new year. The weekly sweepstakes prizes — totaling approximately $10,000 — include gift cards to Network for Good, TOMS, and Twice As Warm that will benefit various charitable causes, as well as a variety of products and Amazon gift cards.
