Aidmatrix

Aidmatrix

Mission:
To give donors the ability to select a particular type of aid, organization, and whether they want to support immediate or long-term relief to South Asia.

Background:
The Aidmatrix Asian Tsunami Virtual Drive provides donors the means to choose not only which relief organization they want to support out of more than twenty-five possibilities, but also what kind of aid, and whether it is provided right away or over the long haul. Long-term relief includes the restoration of roads, schools, and hospitals; micro-lending programs to support the reopening of small businesses; and counseling services. In addition, a company or organization with a large volume of items to donate may submit a list online, and Aidmatrix will match the offer with a relief organization.

Outstanding Feature:
Donors "shop" from a table listing different types of aid and the estimated cost for one unit. For example, $12.50 supplies twelve cases of healthcare supplies; $25, five cases of cleaning supplies; $30, miscellaneous building materials; $34, one hundred meals; $40, five sessions of counseling; and $65, one stove. Donations of $20, $50, or $100 are available for a mix of services. At "checkout," donors are told how many people their gift has helped. Upon giving their credit card information, they may choose short- or long-term aid and the organization that provides it.
