Colorado School Grades

To provide accessible, easy-to-understand information about Colorado school performance.
Background:
Developed in late 2011 by a coalition of eighteen foundations, nonprofits, and community-based organizations working in partnership with the Center for Education Policy Analysisat the University of Colorado Denver, Colorado School Grades is an online platform that provides school performance information to help parents, students, and school staff make informed decisions about the schools they choose in the state. According to the Denver Post, the site was launched to coincide with the start of open enrollment in a number of school districts and includes data from the Colorado Department of Education.

Visitors to the Colorado School Grades Web site can searchand comparepublic schools in the state by grade (A through F); view top-rated elementary, middle, and highschools; participatein local school reform efforts; and sign upto receive electronic updates. The site, which is also available in Spanish, includes an FAQpage and a link to its Facebookpage.
