DonorEdge

DonorEdge

Mission:
To collect objective information about targeted nonprofit organizations in the Greater Kansas City area and make it available to donors.

Background:
Created by the Greater Kansas City Community Foundation, DonorEdge® aims to connect citizens to community needs and issues. Nonprofits that use DonorEdge® benefit from enhanced awareness of their programs and new relationships with potential donors, as well as the identification of valuable opportunities to increase their capacity. They can also use their DonorEdge® profile in place of many attachments in standard grant application forms.

Outstanding Web Features:
The site provides information on more than 650 local nonprofits, with particular focus on those working in arts and culture; community development; children, youth, and families; health and life sciences; and racial equity. Registered users gain access to information about organizations' program performance, management and governance, and financial soundness. Most organizations have been evaluated by the foundation with information presented as objective assessments. With the click of a mouse, visitors can safely donate to those organizations they find worthwhile.
