Health UnBound
Mission:
To unite the diverse constituencies that can transform health systems and address global health challenges.
Background:
Developed by the mHealth Alliance and the Health Metrics Network (HMN), the HUB was unveiled during the 2010 mHealth summit. As an online meeting place for people who are interested in transforming health systems and improving health outcomes in low- and middle-income countries, the HUB facilitates idea exchange, aggregates content, and facilitates the development of community among the diverse constituencies that can benefit from and improve access to health information.
Outstanding Web Features:
Visitors to the HUB site can see who else is working in their area of interest through the directory. Users can also create and participate in workspaces; browse resources, including research and reference material; and stay abreast of developments through the project's blog. In addition, registered site visitors can create a profile for their organization and comment on the ideas and projects presented on the site. All the records on the site have been tagged by topic area and geographic location, and can be viewed in a chart or on an interactive map.
