 Founded in 2007, We Are Teachers is an online platform that enables teachers and businesses to share, connect, and collaborate using Web 2.0 tools and services. The site includes an innovative "knowledge marketplace" that enables users to share, sell, and receive recommendations from sponsors on a broad range of teaching tools.

Outstanding Web Features:
 The WeAreTeachers site features a keyword-searchable marketplace that includes a document exchange and an "academic superstore" filled with learning tools. Visitors to the site can also browse more than 14,000 lesson plans, find classroom-management tips, and listen to podcasts. Registered users can apply for a small classroom grant, communicate with other users in a teacher forum, join a community of interest, contribute to the organization's blog, and/or read and comment on blog posts by other users.
