'Stories of Impact From the Social Innovation Fund'
Since its creation in Barack Obama's first term, the Social Innovation Fund — a public-private partnership led by the Corporation for National and Community Service that funds innovative community-based solutions in the areas of economic opportunity, healthy futures, and youth development — has played a key role in the replication of effective anti-poverty programs, the expansion of HIV treatment programs in underserved areas, and improvements in college attainment and completion rates among at-risk youth, a report from Scaling What Works, an initiative of Grantmakers for Effective Organizations, finds. The report, Stories of Impact From the Social Innovation Fund (53 pages, PDF), features stories from SIF funders, grantees, and the communities that benefit from SIF-funded programs, ranging from the National Fund for Workforce Solutions and the Southwest Alabama Workforce Development Council, to the Foundation for a Healthy Kentucky and Oldham County Hope Health Clinic, to New Profit Inc. and YouthBuild USA.
