Daniels Fund Grants $900,000 for Business Ethics Chair

The Denver-based Daniels Fund has announced a $900,000 grant to the University of Wyoming to establish a business ethics professorship and curriculum.

The grant will establish the Bill Daniels Distinguished Professor of Business Ethics, named in honor of the fund's founder. O.C. Ferrell, head of Colorado State University's marketing department and a leading authority in ethics education, has been tapped for the new post. The grant will also enable the university to develop a nationally recognized business ethics curriculum and outreach effort that extends the program's influence within Wyoming and beyond the state through a national network of scholars.

"Our founder, Bill Daniels, considered achieving a reputation for integrity and being ethical in business as the greatest accomplishment of his life," said Daniels Fund president and CEO Linda Childears. "We are honored to partner with the University of Wyoming in establishing the Bill Daniels Distinguished Chair of Business Ethics as it will play a vital role in grounding students in the essential values they will need to succeed in business and lead happy, productive lives."
