The Emergency Assistance Foundation (EAF) has announced that it awarded more than $45 million in financial assistance to nearly 49,000 individuals worldwide who faced unforeseen disasters or personal hardships in 2022.

Relief funds administered by EAF received more than $52 million in donations from sponsoring organizations, also known as EAF Fund Partners. As a third-party administrator, EAF independently administers all fund activities for its Fund Partners, while ensuring funds comply with all regulations. In 2022, EAF supported Fund Partners, grant applicants, and grant recipients through a third wave of COVID-19 in China, Hurricane Fiona in Puerto Rico, Hurricane Ian in the United States, and Tropical Storm Nalgae in the Philippines, as well as other events. EAF also launched a revamped Fund Partner Portal in 2022, which includes assets such as eBooks, Fund Partner toolkits, internal communications samples, and a partner forum.

“The 2022 calendar year was a successful one thanks to our growing network of Fund Partners, all of whom supported our mission to find a way to assist those in unexpected need worldwide through quick, seamless grant processing,” said EAF president Douglas Stockham. “From disaster relief to challenging life moments one can never plan for, we were able to meet these needs in a timely manner for struggling individuals and families around the world.”
