Enterprise Rancheria Tribe awards $1 million for cancer care

The Enterprise Rancheria Tribe—owners of the Hard Rock Hotel in Wheatland, California—has announced a five-year, $1 million commitment to Sutter Medical Foundation the philanthropic arm of Sacramento-based Sutter Health, Indian Gaming reports.

The award, distributed through the tribe’s Enterprise Community Fund, will help drive innovations in cancer care and services for residents in Yuba and Sutter Counties and the greater Sacramento region.

“We are excited to be partnering with Enterprise Rancheria to shape the future of cancer care for everyone in our community, building the most comprehensive, integrated, and connected health system,” said Sutter North Medical Group president Steven Dale Blair.

“We see the tremendous health care that our community receives from Sutter Medical and were inspired to partner with them for an extended period to unlock the possibility to transform cancer care for our greater Yuba-Sutter County community,” said Enterprise Rancheria chair Glenda Nelson.
