Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia has announced a $20 million gift from the Endeavour Legacy Foundation in support of renovations to the college’s Gilmer Hall.

The second largest gift in the college’s history will fund the transformation of the college’s former science center, into a state-of-the-art teaching and learning facility that will house the departments of economics and business, government, and foreign affairs. The investment builds on the foundation’s previously anonymous $9 million investment in March 2023, which is funding the college’s integrated marketing and enrollment initiative.

“Endeavour Legacy Foundation is thrilled to be imagining the possibilities with Hampden-Sydney College in taking on this major initiative with transformational potential,” said a foundation representative.
