Home Depot Foundation pledges $10 million for community improvement
The Home Depot Foundation has announced a pledge to invest $10 million in community service projects during 2023.
The pledge is in recognition of the 30-year anniversary of Home Depot’s associate volunteer force, Team Depot, which has contributed nearly two million volunteer hours since 2011 in response to natural disasters and to address immediate needs within neighborhoods. In addition, the foundation is teaming up with Rebuilding Together to build and install wheelchair ramps in more than 20 cities to address accessibility needs in veterans’ homes.
“Giving back to our communities is at the core of who we are as a company,” said Home Depot chief culture officer Crystal Hanlon. “We aren’t just in these communities; we are a part of them. This $10 million investment empowers our associates to identify the unique, priority needs of their hometowns and take action to drive sustainable change.”
