The Jacksonville Symphony has announced gifts totaling $3 million from couple Michael Ward and Jennifer Glock and longtime patron Ann Hicks in support of the symphony’s endowment.

Hicks contributed $2 million to honor the 10th anniversary season of music director and conductor Courtney Lewis. Hicks’ recent contributions have funded the purchase of a Steinway concert grand piano as well as key artistic initiatives, such as the David M. Hicks Piano Series. Ward and Glock awarded $1 million to bolster the Jennifer Glock Endowed Clarinet Chair. They previously supported the symphony’s COVID-19 relief efforts.

“These gifts reflect a shared belief in the symphony’s mission and its impact on our community,” said president and CEO Steven B. Libman. “Their generosity exemplifies a passion for strengthening our community through the power of music. These contributions will have a lasting impact on both our artistic endeavors and our educational outreach.”
