Kirkpatrick Family Fund announces grants totaling $4.3 million
The Kirkpatrick Family Fund, the largest affiliated fund in the Oklahoma City Community Foundation, has announced that it awarded grants totaling $4.31 million during the first half of its 2022 fiscal year, from July 1 through December 31, 2021.
Grants were awarded to 109 nonprofits working in the areas of animal welfare; arts and humanities; children, youth, and families; community development; education; the environment; health; and social services. Established in 1989, the fund has awarded more than $127 million in grants to organizations in central Oklahoma and Green Mountain Falls, Colorado.
Recipients include the Oklahoma City Repertory Theater, which was awarded a general operating support grant to help the nonprofit get through the 2022 season, and Carpenter Square Theatre, which is undergoing renovations to create a larger space to be unveiled this spring.
“For the past thirty-two years, the Kirkpatrick Family Fund has enjoyed investing in organizations with immense devotion and vision for strengthening our community,” said Kirkpatrick Family Fund president Christian Keesee. “The grantees recently supported are thinking outside the box and working tirelessly to impact those they serve during a time where so much has been in question. We are proud to be their encouraging partner and support their important work.”
