Loma Linda University Health Receives $100 Million Gift

Loma Linda University Health in California has announced a $100 million gift from Dennis and Carol Troesh toward a $1.2 billion campaign to expand healthcare services and transform education and research at the medical center.

The gift brings to $149 million the total raised to date for the health system's Vision 2020 campaign, which includes plans for a 100-bed Loma Linda University Children's Hospital tower that will connect to the existing Children's Hospital and expand its neonatal intensive care units; a 276-bed Adult Medical Center with 96 intensive care beds and 180 medical-surgical beds; and a $60 million building to house an interdisciplinary research hub that includes a Wholeness Institute.

Dennis Troesh, founder of Robertson's Ready Mix, one of the largest ready-mix and construction aggregate operations in the western United States, and Carol Troesh, who has authored historical fiction for children under the name C.A. Hartnell, are both board members of the Loma Linda University Children's Hospital Foundation.

"Over the years, God has abundantly blessed our family, and it is our privilege and honor to give back to the community we have called home for most of our lives," said Carol Troesh.
