Mabee Foundation Awards $750,000 Challenge Grant to Kansas Mentoring Agency
Kansas Big Brothers Big Sisters has announced a $750,000 challenge grant — the largest grant in its history — from the Tulsa-based J.E. and L.E. Mabee Foundation for its ongoing capital campaign.
Nick Mork, president and chief executive officer of KBBS, said his organization would receive the grant from Mabee after it had raised $6.45 million of its $7.2 million campaign goal.
In addition to the grant from the foundation, KBBBS also announced recent corporate contributions of $62,500 from the Ritchie Corp. and $50,000 from Cox Communications. The agency launched its Big Ambition campaign in April and has raised more than $5 million to date.
