Northwell Health receives gift for Lenox Hill medical pavilion
Northwell Health in New Hyde Park, New York, has announced a gift of an undisclosed amount from Victoria and Lloyd Goldman to support a new medical pavilion under construction in Manhattan.
The largest single gift in Northwell’s history will name the Victoria and Lloyd Goldman Medical Pavilion at Lenox Hill Hospital and includes an endowment to establish the Victoria and Lloyd Goldman Professorship. Slated to open in 2026, the $450 million complex will include a dedicated women’s center; medical oncology, radiation oncology, and surgical oncology; and programs focused on endometrial cancer, triple-negative breast cancer, and other cancers that most affect women and people of color. The 15-floor, 200,000-square-foot pavilion will also house a cardiac center, a neuroscience center, clinical trials and research conducted by the Northwell Health Cancer Institute, and imaging, lab testing, pharmacy, and acute and chronic disease management services, as well as social services referrals.
Longtime supporters of Northwell and its Feinstein Institutes for Medical Research, the couple were leadership sponsors of Northwell’s annual gala this year, which raised $3.3 million. Lloyd Goldman serves on the boards of Northwell Health and Feinstein Institutes.
“Our journey with Northwell began many years ago with Lloyd’s childhood hospital, North Shore University Hospital, and continues with Lenox Hill Hospital,” said Victoria Goldman. “We are proud to see how Northwell has transformed into one of the world’s leading academic health systems.”
