The Meyer Memorial Trust in Portland, Oregon, has announced the departure of communications director ROY KAUFMANN, effective March 1. Kaufmann joined the organization in 2021 to help guide the foundation in its efforts to accelerate racial, social, and economic justice in the state.

Omidyar Network in Redwood City, California, has announced the appointments of MARTA L. TELLADO, TOLGA KURTOGLU, and MONA SUTPHEN to its board, effective March 1. Tellado and Kurtoglu will serve as board members and Sutphen will serve as a board observer. Tellado is president and CEO of Consumer Reports, and Kurtoglu is a former CEO of PARC, a scientific research company. Sutphen is a partner at the Vistria Group

The Z. Smith Reynolds Foundation (ZSR) in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, has announced the selection of JOY VERMILLION HEINSOHN as executive director. She currently serves as the philanthropy liaison for the NC Office of Strategic Partnerships and is a former assistant director at ZSR. Vermillion Heinsohn will succeed MAURICE GREEN, who is retiring after seven years.

The Association for Creatine Deficiencies in Carlsbad, California, has announced the appointment of DANIEL COLLER as chair of the board of directors as LAURA TRUTOIU steps down from her role as chair and director of research. Coller previously held the position of director of finance. The foundation also announced the promotion of MIKELLE LAW, former director of compliance into the new role of director of finance and compliance. SEUNG CHUN was also appointed to the new role of board advisor on research. 

The Association of Fundraising Professionals Global (AFP) has announced the election of BIRGIT SMITH BURTON as global board chair. Burton succeeds KEVIN J. FOYLE, who served as global board chair in 2021 and 2022 and will now serve as immediate past chair. Burton, who has served on AFP’s global board for nearly a decade, is the first African American woman in the organization’s 62-year history to chair the AFP global board. 

The Kansas Health Foundation has announced the appointment of JUSTON WHITE as a community impact officer. White previously served as executive director of both Camber Children’s Mental Health Wichita (formerly KVC Hospitals Wichita) and the Boys & Girls Clubs of South Central Kansas. 

Save the Children in Fairfield, Connecticut, has announced the election of five new members to its board of trustees. New trustees include WAYNE A.I. FREDRICK, the 17th president of Howard University and the distinguished Charles R. Drew Professor of Surgery at the Howard University College of Medicine; ANNE GATES, former president of MGA Entertainment; RICHARD A. JOHNSON, former CEO of Foot Locker; JULIAN C. SALISBURY, chief investment officer of Goldman Sachs Asset & Wealth Management; and PAMELA STEWART, chief customer officer–retail for the North America operating unit of the Coca-Cola Company.
