The David and Lucile Packard Foundation in Los Altos, California, has announced the selection of KATHERINE BECKMANN as national policy director. Beckmann previously served as the senior policy advisor for early childhood health at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

The Wallace Foundation in New York City has announced the selection of INGRID RASMUSSEN as chief financial officer. Rasmussen previously served as chief financial officer at Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors.

Americares in Stamford, Connecticut, has announced the election of VLADIMIR MAKATSARIA to its board of directors. Makatsaria is a board member and CEO of LivaNova, a global medical device company.

Girl Scouts of the USA in New York City has announced the promotion of KEN DISTEFANO, Jr. to chief financial officer. Distefano previously served as deputy chief financial officer.

Hanley Foundation in West Palm Beach, Florida, has announced the appointment of two members to its board of directors: DAVID GANEK and KEITH PALAGYE. Ganek is the founder of CityLights and founder and former head portfolio manager of Level Global Investors. Palagye is a former owner of Harold’s Coffee Lounge.

Mid-America Arts Alliance in Kansas City, Missouri, has announced the selection of DEBORAH MCNULTY as senior vice president. McNulty previously served as a creative strategies consultant as well as director of cultural affairs for the City of Houston. 

United Way Worldwide in Alexandria, Virginia, has announced the election of five new members of its board of trustees: MICHELLE DE LA ISLA, HELENE GLOTZER, MELISSA POTTER, TERI SMITH, and GEETHA THARMARATNAM. De La Isla is the CEO of Hack.Diversity. Glotzer is the head of enterprise risk management and a partner director on the operating board of Bridgewater Associates. Potter is the vice president of strategy and impact at Paramount. Smith is the chief operating officer of the NFL Players Association. Tharmaratnam is the chief impact investment officer of the World Health Organization.
