The Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching in Stanford, California, has announced the appointment of SYDNEE DICKSON and AARON RASMUSSEN to its board of trustees. Dickson currently serves as the Utah State superintendent of public instruction. Rasmussen is the co-founder of MasterClass.

The Getty Foundation in Los Angeles has announced the selection of DANIEL REID as associate director. Reid previously served as executive director of the Whiting Foundation.

The Baltimore Museum of Art has announced the appointments of ANGELA WHEELER as chief of external affairs, ELISABETH CALLIHAN as chief education office, and ANNA LINCOLN WHITEHURST as senior director of advancement. Wheeler most recently served as the associate vice president of campaign operations at the Maryland Institute College of Art. Callihan previously served as director of education and director of learning and practice at Mississippi Museum of Art. Whitehurst previously served as director of development at the Irvine Nature Center in Baltimore.

The BuildStrong Education Foundation in Denver, Colorado, has announced the selection of JAMIE VAN LEEUWEN as managing director. For more than 15 years, Van Leeuwen served as senior advisor and deputy chief of staff to Denver Mayor and then Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper.

The Center for Effective Philanthropy in Cambridge, Massachusetts, has announced the election of TONY RICHARDSON as chair of its board of directors, as well as the election of three new board members: DON CHEN, CAROLINE ALTMAN SMITH, and ALESHA WASHINGTON. Richardson is president of the George Gund Foundation. Chen is president of the Surdna Foundation. Altman Smith is deputy director of the Kresge Foundation’s education program.

New Morning in Columbia, South Carolina, has announced the appointment of WILBUR E. JOHNSON as chair of its board of directors. Johnson is an attorney in employment and labor law with Clement Rivers.

Rotary International has announced the selection of STEPHANIE URCHICK as president. Urchick, a member of the Rotary Club of McMurray in Pennsylvania, is the second woman to serve as president

The Segerstrom Center for the Arts in Costa Mesa, California, has announced the appointment of JOHN PHELAN as chair of its board of directors. Phelan worked in finance for over 45 years with roles as an associate partner at Andersen Consulting.
