The Duke Endowment in Charlotte, North Carolina, has announced that CHRISTINA DISALVO has joined its staff as a program officer with the child and family well-being program area. DiSalvo was previously an implementation specialist with the Impact Center at UNC Chapel Hill’s Frank Porter Graham Child Development Institute.
The George Gund Foundation in Cleveland has announced that EMILY LUNDGARD has joined the organization as director of strategy. She previously served as senior program director for Enterprise Community Partners.
The Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation in Morristown, New Jersey, has announced that TICIANA MALONEY and SUSAN VEGA will join the organization as grants manager and controller, respectively. Maloney will administer grantmaking operations across the organization, and Vega will develop, implement, and ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures in support of the foundation’s core operations.
The Surdna Foundation in New York City has announced the appointment of MISHI FARUQEE as its director of the Andrus Family Fund. Faruqee will oversee a grantmaking portfolio of more than $4 million that supports the self-determination, power, and liberation of Black, Brown, AAPI, and Indigenous youth negatively impacted by the youth justice, child welfare, and other systems.
The William Randolph Hearst Foundations, which has foundations in California and New York City, have announced that DONNA KALAJIAN LAGANI has been named vice president and Eastern director. She succeeds GEORGE B. IRISH, who passed away on September 13 after serving in leadership roles for 14 years at both the California and New York foundations.

Pearson will lead the center’s portfolio of initiatives and grants aimed at working to transform U.S. health care into a high-performance system by finding innovative solutions that improve quality and lower costs. Pearson is senior vice president for healthcare strategy at NORC at the University of Chicago.
The Public Theater in New York City has announced that LUIS A. MIRANDA, JR. has been elected chair of its board. The father of performer Lin Manuel Miranda is a longtime political activist and nonprofit leader in New York City and founded the MirRam Group. Miranda told the New York Times one of his priorities for the organization is the renovation of the Delacorte Theater in Central Park.
The University of Southern California Shoah Foundation has announced that ROBERT J. WILLIAMS will lead the Institute for Visual History and Education, which studies and preserves the stories of survivors and witnesses of the Holocaust and other genocides. JOEL CITRON was also named chair of its board of councilors.
