The Blue Shield of California Foundation has announced the election of HELEN DUPLESSIS to its board. A physician executive with more than twenty-five years of leadership experience, DuPlessis is a principal with Health Management Associates and previously served as a pediatrician and senior advisor at the University of California Los Angeles Center for Healthier Children, Families and Communities. She will begin a three-year term in January 2022.

The Leona M. and Harry B. Helmsley Charitable Trust has announced the appointment of SARAH PAUL as CEO, effective November 1. Since 2015, Paul has served as the trust's general counsel, overseeing all aspects of grants management, human resources, and legal matters. She previously served as deputy head of the exempt organizations practice at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom. Paul succeeds STEPHANIE CUSKLEY, who has led the organization since 2015.

The Kresge Foundation has announced that ADENA HILL, PHYLLIS MEADOWS, and SAM KIYOMI TURNER have joined its Detroit program. Hill, who will serve as a program officer, has been a City of Detroit analyst and public-private partnership specialist since 2018; prior to that, she managed public-private partnership projects for the City of Atlanta. Meadows, a Kresge Health program senior fellow, has moved to an equivalent position with the Detroit program; she previously served as associate dean for practice at the University of Michigan's School of Public Health and clinical professor in health management and policy. Turner, who served as program director of Our School at Blair Grocery before joining the foundation in 2019 as a program coordinator, will become an associate program officer.

The New Jersey Arts & Culture Recovery Fund, hosted by the Princeton Area Community Foundation, has named LYNNE TOYE as its inaugural executive director, effective November 8. Created in 2020 with an initial gift from the Grunin Foundation, the fund has awarded grants totaling $3.9 million to nonprofit arts, culture, and history organizations that have suffered losses due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Toye most recently served as the chief administrative officer at the Harlem School of the Arts; her previous roles include COO for Jazz House Kids in Montclair, director of the Center for Innovation Management at SUNY Fashion Institute of Technology, director of the Stern School of Business Executive Education at New York University, and as president and CEO of Chester Mason, Inc. Design Studio in Philadelphia.

The Asia Society has announced the election of eight new members to its board: FILIPPO GORI, EVAN G. GREENBERG, STEPHANIE HUI, JOSEPHINE LINDEN, IDA LIU, GEOFF MARTHA, GARY RIESCHEL, and MARK TUCKER. Gori is CEO of J.P. Morgan in Asia Pacific; Greenberg is chair and CEO of Chubb Limited and Chubb Group; Hui leads Goldman Sachs' corporate private equity investment activities in Asia and is global co-head of growth equity business within the asset management division; Linden is founder and CEO of Linden Global Strategies, a wealth management advisory firm and multi-family office; Liu is global head of Citi Private Bank; Martha is chair and CEO of Medtronic; Rieschel is the founding managing partner of Qiming Venture Partners; and Tucker is non-executive group chairman of HSBC Holdings and non-executive chair of the Discovery Group of South Africa.

The Jewish Federation of Cincinnati has named DANIELLE V. MINSON as its next CEO — the first woman to lead the organization in its 125-year history. Minson has been with the federation system for twenty-four years, nineteen of them in Cincinnati. Prior to being appointed president and interim CEO in July, she served as chief development officer and managing director; in that position she led strategic changes and transformed the revenue model from being solely focused on the annual campaign to incorporating multiple streams of revenue that benefit the community.

Education nonprofit Research for Action has announced the appointment of KATE CALLAHAN as executive director, effective October 15. A twelve-year veteran of RFA, Callahan most recently served as chief research officer and, since December 2020, also as interim executive director. She previously worked as a teacher in the School District of Philadelphia, served as an associate director of A Better Chance, Inc. in Lower Merion, Pennsylvania, and provided professional support to teachers in a community-based education, health, and wellness center in La Paz, Bolivia.
