The Coleman Foundation in Chicago has announced the appointment of PETER HANDLER as interim CEO. Handler previously served in leadership positions with the Reva and David Logan and Richard Driehaus foundations and Foundation Source and consulted with the Coleman Foundation. 

Fannie E Rippel Foundation in Morristown, New Jersey, has announced the appointment of CAROLYN BROOKS to its board of trustees. Brooks currently serves as vice president of quality strategy, innovation, and experience for UnitedHealthcare

Rita Allen Foundation in Princeton, New Jersey, has announced the election of DAVID NIRENBERG to its board of directors. Nirenberg is the director and Leon Levy Professor at the Institute for Advanced Study

The Surdna Foundation in New York City has announced the election of CAITLIN BOGER-HAWKINS as its board chairperson and SHARI WILSON as vice chairperson, and the reelection of PETER C. VOORHEES as secretary/treasurer. The foundation also elected AMACHIE K. ACKAH and MICHELLE J. DEPASS to the board. Boger-Hawkins is senior director of institutional research at Connecticut State Community College. Wilson is a consultant on public health and environmental issues affecting the Chesapeake Bay Watershed. Voorhees is a partner with the international law firm Simmons & Simmons LLP, where he practices corporate finance law. Ackah is co-founder, managing partner, and chief investment officer of Clay Cove Capital. And DePass is the president of DePass Paulson Advisors. 

CommonSpirit Health in Chicago has announced the selection of TERIKA RICHARDSON as senior executive vice president and chief operating officer. Richardson previously served as chief operating officer at Ardent Health Services.  

Grantmakers In Health in Washington, D.C., has announced the elections of LORI A. COX, and KRISTY KLEIN DAVIS to its board of directors. Cox is vice president of programs at The California Wellness Foundation, and Davis is president of the Georgia Health Initiative

Pennington Biomedical Research Foundation in Baton Rouge, Louisianna, has announced the selection of BRIANNA BARRETT as chief development officer. She previously worked as senior director of philanthropy at the Scripps Research Institute

PND also notes the passing of Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation co-founder BETTY IRENE MOORE at age 95. Moore, alongside her husband, established the foundation in 2000, with a focus on improving patient care, funding countless nursing programs in the Bay Area and beyond.
