The Kraft Heinz Company Foundation has announced an additional three-year, $15 million commitment to Rise Against Hunger in support of its work addressing global hunger and improving access to nutrition.

The funding extension will bolster global programs to provide 5.5 million locally procured meals, support sustainable agriculture projects that can deliver an estimated 250 million meals, and engage Kraft Heinz employees in volunteer work around the world.

Between 2021 and 2023, Kraft Heinz funding enabled Rise to distribute more than 127 million micronutrient fortified meals in 48 countries across Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean, Europe, and Africa and help develop agriculture projects that produced 207 million meals in Malawi, Mali, Philippines, Senegal, South Africa, South Sudan, Zimbabwe, and India. In addition, more than 6,000 Kraft Heinz employees helped pack over 1.7 million meals globally.

“Kraft Heinz’s generous contributions have been instrumental in driving our mission and have profoundly impacted the lives of countless individuals and communities facing food insecurity in remote, last-mile communities that are often difficult to access and lack infrastructure,” said Rise Against Hunger CEO Rick Kearney.
