Wyss Foundation awards $1.9 million to Swiss hospital
The Wyss Foundation has announced a grant of 1.75 million Swiss francs ($1.9 million) to Campus Stiftung Lindenhof Bern (Campus SLB) in support of aging research.
A subsidiary of the Lindenhof Bern Foundation, Campus SLB works to improve treatment options and patient quality of life through its patient-centered research projects and clinical trial studies. The grant from the Wyss Foundation will support spinal research focused on elderly patients. Consistent analysis of treatment options, actual treatment, treatment course, and success will enable the development of evidence-based treatment algorithms for common and critical spine conditions.
“Campus SLB is very proud that Hansjörg Wyss shares this vision and generously supports it through his Wyss Foundation,” Campus SLB said in a statement. “Thus, clinical outcomes research in the field of spine surgery at the Bern site gains importance, especially for older patients with spine problems.”
“The Wyss Foundation is proud to support Campus SLB and its innovative work to improve patient outcomes, particularly among seniors and those with spine conditions,” said Wyss Foundation president Molly McUsic in an emailed statement. “This grant will help spur medical innovation and patient-centered research. We are pleased to partner with a strong institution on this groundbreaking work.”
