The $250,000 prize is awarded annually to individuals who have distinguished themselves in areas that are consistent with the mission of the foundation. This year’s winners are Betsy DeVos, former U.S. secretary of education and former chair of the American Federation for Children, Philanthropy Roundtable, and the Michigan Republican Party; John H. Cochrane, the Rose-Marie and Jack Anderson senior fellow of the Hoover Institution at Stanford University, a senior fellow of the Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research, professor of finance and economics at Stanford Graduate School of Business, a research associate of the National Bureau of Economic Research, and an adjunct scholar of the CATO Institute; and Nina Shea, senior fellow of the Hudson Institute.
“The Bradley Foundation is proud to honor distinguished individuals whose extraordinary talents have influenced American scholarship and debate,” said Bradley Foundation president and CEO Richard Graber. “We look forward to an evening that recognizes their achievements and celebrates the belief that political and economic freedom lead to greater opportunity, prosperity, and quality of life.”
