2010 Bradley Prize Winners Announced

The Milwaukee-based Lynde and Harry Bradley Foundation has announced the recipients of the 2010 Bradley Prize.

The $250,000 prize is awarded annually to up to four individuals who have distinguished themselves in areas that are consistent with the mission of the foundation. This year's winners are Michael Barone, senior political analyst for The Washington Examiner and resident fellow at the American Enterprise Institute for Public Policy Research; Paul A. Gigot, Wall Street Journal editorial-page editor and 2000 Pulitzer Prize winner for commentary; Bradley A. Smith, Josiah H. Blackmore II/Shirley M. Nault Designated Professor of Law at Capital University; and John B. Taylor, Mary and Robert Raymond Professor of Economics at Stanford University and the George P. Shultz Senior Fellow at the Hoover Institution.

"These accomplished and respected individuals are being recognized for achievements that are consistent with the mission statement of the [Bradley] Foundation," said president and CEO Michael W. Grebe, "including the promotion of liberal democracy, democratic capitalism, and a vigorous defense of American institutions."
