The Milwaukee-based Lynde and Harry Bradley Foundation has announced grants totaling $15.7 million in support of programs in the areas of arts and culture, communities and families, and education.

Arts and culture program recipients include the Bel Canto Chorus ($40,000) and the Milwaukee Public Library Foundation ($90,000). Communities and families program recipients include Neu-Life Community Resource Center ($800,0000) and the Greater Galilee Community Development Corporation ($100,000). Education program recipients include Bader Hillel Academy and Bader Hillel High School ($25,000 each).

“Like any city, Milwaukee has its share of deeply rooted problems that citizens and leaders must vigilantly work on,” said foundation president Rick Graber. “At the same time, our city has so much to be proud of, particularly during a challenging time for urban areas. The foundation is pleased to play a role in making Milwaukee a vibrant place to work and raise a family by supporting the civic institutions that work to strengthen it.”
