The Collier Community Foundation (CCF) in Naples, Florida, has announced grants totaling $62 million awarded during fiscal year (FY) 2023 in support of programs and projects across Collier County.

Grants included funding for nonprofits in the areas of education ($33 million); human services ($10.3 million); housing affordability ($7.1 million); health ($3.3 million); public, society benefit ($2.2 million); arts, culture, and humanities ($1.5 million); and environment and animals ($945,000). Distributions from the foundation’s donor-advised funds totaled $23.9 million—nearly 40 percent of all CCF grantmaking.

The foundation’s FY2023 grantmaking surpassed last year’s giving of $43 million by 44 percent, which had included $5 million in federal support provided through the American Rescue Plan Act, the Naples Daily News reported.

“Looking forward beyond the next grant cycle [we] are invested in planning today to provide long-term solutions for our community tomorrow, such as the critical issue of affordable housing,” said CCF president Eileen Connolly-Keesler. “We are proud to play a key role in providing housing options for our essential workers and seniors that will allow them to live and work in our community.”
