Goldman Fund awards grants totaling $14.3 million in 2024

The Lisa and Douglas Goldman Fund in San Francisco has announced that it awarded grants totaling $14.3 million to 209 nonprofits across the United States in 2024.

Grants were made to address voter engagement, gun violence prevention, civic education and early literacy, and climate change mitigation and resilience, as well as to combat antisemitism in the United States, engage Jewish communities in defending civil liberties, and protect reproductive health and rights. Recipients include iCivics in Cambridge, Massachusetts ($100,000); the Brady Center to Prevent Gun Violence in Washington, D.C. ($50,000); the Center for Countering Digital Hate in Washington, D.C. ($100,000); and the Abortion Coalition for Telemedicine in Brooklyn, New York ($100,000).

Since its founding, the foundation has awarded grants totaling more than $185 million to 883 organizations.
