Irvine Foundation awards $31.65 million in grants
 
            
    
    
                   
					The San Francisco-based James Irvine Foundation has announced first-quarter grants totaling $31.65 million in support of four initiatives that focus on assistance to working Californians.
Funding awarded through its Just Prosperity initiative included a two-year, $1.5 million grant to Catalyst California, and a two-year, $2 million grant to PICO California.
Through its Priority Communities initiative, the foundation awarded a two-year, $3.35 million grant to Community Foundation for Monterey County to advance support of the Salinas Inclusive Economic Development Initiative in working with community-based organizations to build a more inclusive and equitable economy in Salinas. Seventy-five percent of the grant will be regranted.
