Otto Bremer Trust awards grants, PRIs totaling $14.6 million

The Otto Bremer Trust in St. Paul, Minnesota, has announced grants and program-related investments totaling $14.6 million in support of nonprofits in Minnesota, Montana, North Dakota, and Wisconsin.

Grant recipients include the Lakes & Prairies Community Action Partnership in Moorhead, Minnesota, which was awarded $80,000 to empower families and engage communities to eliminate poverty; Corner House in Minneapolis, which will receive $175,000 to provide comprehensive abuse response, advocacy, and healing services for child survivors of abuse; Girl Scouts of Minnesota and Wisconsin River Valleys in St. Paul, which was awarded $195,000 to provide girls in the Twin Cities and southern Minnesota with culturally relevant programs designed to address critical needs; Greater Missoula Family YMCA in Missoula, Montana, which will receive $500,000 in support of construction and renovation of its campus; and Operation HELP in Hudson, Wisconsin, which was awarded $250,000 in general operating support and support for its campaign to provide food, emergency financial assistance, and other basic needs to individuals and families in the St. Croix Valley.

Additional recipients include Emma Norton Services in St. Paul ($325,000); Essentia Health Foundation in Duluth, Minnesota ($225,000); Second Harvest Heartland in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota ($300,000); Reach in Bozeman, Montana ($50,000); Cia Siab, Inc. in La Crosse, Wisconsin ($55,000); and the YMCA of Kettle Moraine in West Bend, Wisconsin ($60,000).

“Our commitment to people and organizations across the region is reflected in the variety of investments OBT made in this latest grantmaking round,” said Otto Bremer Trust co-CEO and trustee Charlotte S. Johnson.
