The Ford Foundation in New York City has announced the appointments of ANITA KHASHU as program director for gender, racial and ethnic justice in the United States and CHI-HUI YANG as program director for creativity & free expression (CFE). Khashu joined the Ford Foundation in 2021 as senior program officer working in the foundation’s immigrant rights portfolio. Yang joined the foundation in 2015 as part of the CFE program, serving in a number of key program officer roles for the JustFilms initiative.
The Foundation for a Smoke-Free World in New York City has announced the appointment of ERIK AUGUSTSON as vice president of programs. A former behavioral scientist and program director at the National Cancer Institute, Augustson is the founder of Augustson Consulting.
The Kresge Foundation in Detroit has announced several staff promotions and appointments. Senior program officer MICHELLE JOHNSON and associate program officer CHRISTOPHER LEFLORE have joined Kresge’s Detroit program. ERICA BROWNE has been promoted to senior program officer in the health program. ALEJANDRA HERNANDEZ and KEVIN WASHINGTON have been promoted to associate program officers within the environment program and American cities program, respectively. KATHARINE MCLAUGHLIN was promoted to senior communications officer in the external affairs and communications department, and DEVANSHI MALAVIYA was promoted to investment associate in Kresge’s investment office.
The Surdna Foundation in New York City has announced the appointment of KAYLA HUNTER as program associate with the sustainable environments team. Hunter most recently served as program coordinator for the Community Food Bank of New Jersey.
The Center for Nonprofit Excellence in Charlottesville, Virginia, has announced MARIANE ASAD DOYLE as executive director. Doyle most recently served as chief culture officer at the University of Virginia’s McIntire School of Commerce.
The Houston Methodist Hospital Foundation has announced the selection of FLYNN ANDRIZZI as president and CEO. Andrizzi most recently served as president of the Hoag Hospital Foundation.
The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C., has announced the retirement of board chair DAVID M. RUBENSTEIN. Rubenstein, who signed the Giving Pledge in 2010, is co-founder and co-chair of the Carlyle Group.
Southwestern Medical Foundation in Dallas has announced the selection of SARAH FLETCHER as CEO. Fletcher previously served as chief financial and administrative officer at Trinity Park Conservancy.
