Arnold Ventures in Houston has announced the appointment of CHARLIE ANDERSON to executive vice president for infrastructure. Anderson will lead the organization’s newly announced infrastructure initiative. He previously served as a special assistant to the president for economic policy at the White House National Economic Council in the Biden administration.

The Global Alliance for the Future of Food has announced the selection of ANNA LAPPÉ as executive director. Lappé is the founder or co-founder of three organizations—the Small Planet Institute, Real Food Media, and the Small Planet Fund—and the founder of the Food Sovereignty Fund of the Panta Rhea Foundation

The Joyce Foundation in Chicago has announced the appointment of SEAN DECATUR and RUSSELL KAVALHUNA to its board of directors. Decatur serves as president of the American Museum of Natural History. Kavalhuna serves as president of Henry Ford College

The John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation in Chicago has announced the appointment of CHRIS CARDONA as managing director of exploration, discovery, and programs and YAMINI MISHRA as director of its India office. Cardona most recently served as senior program officer of Building Institutions and Networks (BUILD) at the Ford Foundation. Mishra currently works with Amnesty International as regional director of South Asia. 

The Raikes Foundation in Seattle has announced the selection of MARIA DE LA CRUZ as senior director of its Resourcing Equity and Democracy portfolio. De La Cruz currently serves as vice president and chief external affairs officer at the National Committee for Responsive Philanthropy

The Ruth Mott Foundation in Flint, Michigan, has announced the appointment of TIFFANY BROWN to its board of trustees. Brown currently serves as director of communications and community engagement with the federal Department of Justice in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Michigan. 

The Center for Reproductive Rights in New York City has announced the selection of RACHANA DESAI MARTIN as chief government and external relations officer. Desai Martin previously served in the Biden administration as the assistant secretary for administration and management at the U.S. Department of Labor. 

Climb Hire in San Francisco has announced the appointment of SORBRIQUÉ "SORBY" GRANT as the organization’s first president. For the past year, Grant has served as the organization’s inaugural chief program and people officer. She previously served as chief program officer at the Center for Resilience, Louisiana’s only therapeutic day program. 

Cradles to Crayons in Boston has announced the appointment of JEFFREY ALPAUGH to its national board. Alpaugh serves as the U.S. and Canada growth and industry practice leader and the global real estate and hospitality practice leader at Marsh McLennan

Giving Compass in Seattle has announced the appointment of DALE NIRVANI PFEIFER as its new CEO. Pfeifer previously served as CEO and founder of Goodworld, was named one of Washington Business Journal’s 40 Under 40, and is a recipient of the New Zealand Women of Influence Award

Hadassah, The Women’s Zionist Organization of America in New York City has announced the appointment of ELIZABETH CULLEN as government relations director. Cullen previously served as associate director of health policy for the Jewish Federations of North America

The Institute for Nonprofit News (INN) has announced the resignation of executive director and CEO SUE CROSS. Cross led the transformation of INN from a relatively small consortium of news organizations into the hub of a fast-growing network, with 425 nonprofit newsrooms across North America. Over the next two years, Cross plans to continue supporting news reinvention through part-time and project roles while completing a personal project.

Sesame Workshop in New York City has announced the promotion of VALERIE MITCHELL JOHNSTON to executive vice president of legal and business affairs and general counsel, as well as board secretary. Previously, Johnston served as senior vice president and deputy general counsel of Sesame Workshop. 

Trinity Church Wall Street in New York City has announced the appointment of LISA BENENSON as chief communications officer. Benenson previously served as vice president for communications and strategy at the Brennan Center for Justice.
