The Burton D. Morgan Foundation in Hudson, Ohio, has announced the appointment of MICHAL MARCUS as a full-time program officer. For the past 16 years, Marcus worked for HFLA of Northeast Ohio in several key positions and has led the organization as executive director since 2014. 

The David Rockefeller Fund in New York City has announced the appointment of LOURDES J. RODRÍGUEZ as CEO. Rodríguez previously served as a senior program officer with St. David’s Foundation in Austin, Texas.

The Doris Duke Charitable Foundation has announced the appointment of KIISHA MORROW as the foundation’s first-ever chief people and culture officer. Morrow will oversee the foundation’s human resources operations and workplace culture initiatives.

The Cleveland-based George Gund Foundation has announced the appointment of TREYE JOHNSON as program director for Vibrant Neighborhoods and Inclusive Economy. Johnson will lead the foundation’s grantmaking in economic and community development and neighborhood revitalization. 

The Kate B. Reynolds Charitable Trust in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, has announced several personnel changes. ADAM LINKER, director of programs, has been promoted to vice president of programs, and ALISON DUNCAN, program coordinator, has been promoted to grants administrator. The trust also noted that executive vice president STEPHANIE COOPER-LEWTER has been named to Grantmakers for Effective Organizations’ Change Leaders in Philanthropy Fellowship.

The Indianapolis-based Lumina Foundation has named LINH C. NGUYEN as its first vice president of equity, culture, and talent. Nguyen will lead Lumina’s racial equity efforts, supporting strategies that embed the pursuit of equity in foundation grantmaking and operations while tracking progress. 

The Rogers Foundation in Las Vegas has announced the appointment of JEFF JONES as executive director of its education nonprofit CORE. Jones previously served on the organization’s board of trustees. 

The Virginia G. Piper Charitable Trust in Phoenix has announced the retirements of grants management director GARY ROMERO and senior program officer ELLEN SOLOWEY. Both served the organization for 15 years. 

The Dance Theatre of Harlem has announced the retirement of artistic director VIRGINIA JOHNSON, who served in the role for 23 years. ROBERT GARLAND, the company’s resident choreographer and director of its school, has been named as her successor. 

The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City has announced the appointment of DAVID BRESLIN as the Leonard A. Lauder Curator in Charge of the Department of Modern and Contemporary Art. Breslin currently serves as the Whitney Museum of American Art’s DeMartini Family Curator and Director of Curatorial Initiatives.

The New York Foundling has announced the appointment of six new members to its board of trustees. Joining the board are STEVE BANKS, JON COHEN, STEPHANIE DAVIS, TINA KING, KATHLEEN PADIAN, and KAREN K. MORALES PÉREZ. 

ONE Archives Foundation in Los Angeles has announced the appointment of TONY VALENZUELA as its new executive director. Valenzuela is the first Latinx person to lead the organization. Valenzuela was formerly executive director of the Los Angeles-based Foundation for The AIDS Monument

Stony Brook University has announced the appointment of ERWIN CABRERA as the inaugural executive director of the Stony Brook Simons STEM Scholars Program. Cabrera will develop this undergraduate program intended to bolster pathways to STEM careers for underrepresented students.
