The Christensen Fund in San Francisco has announced the election of three Indigenous women to its board, as part of its commitment to have at least half of its trustees be members of Indigenous Peoples. IKAL ANGELEI is an environmental activist from Kenya and co-founder and director of Friends of Lake Turkana. JOAN CARLING is an Indigenous activist from the Cordillera region of the Philippines with more than 20 years of experience working on Indigenous issues from the grassroots to the international level. VICKY TAULI-CORPUZ served as the United Nations Special Rapporteur on the rights of Indigenous Peoples from 2014 to 2020.

The John S. and James L. Knight Foundation in Miami has announced the election of CHARLES OLSON as trustee. His appointment fills a vacancy left by his mother, BEVERLY KNIGHT OLSON, who stepped down after serving on the board since 1987. Olson is a businessman and currently manages his family-owned boutique hotel in his hometown of Macon, Georgia.

Wellcome has announced the appointment of JOHN-ARNE RØTTINGEN as CEO. Røttingen is the ambassador for global health at the ministry of foreign affairs in Norway.

The California Association of Nonprofits (CalNonprofits) in San Francisco has announced the appointment of GEOFF GREEN as the next CEO of the statewide policy alliance. Green is the CEO of the Santa Barbara College Foundation and a longtime member of the CalNonprofits board. He will replace JAN MASAOKA, who has served as CEO since 2012, effective January 1, 2024.

Deep South Today, a hub of nonprofit newsrooms based in New Orleans, has announced the appointment of WARWICK SABIN as its inaugural president and CEO. Sabin previously served for four years as the executive director of strategic engagement at the Aspen Institute.

HELP USA in New York City has announced the appointment of DAN LEHMAN as president and CEO. Lehman previously served as executive vice president and chief financial officer for Primary Care Development Corporation.

The Indiana Local News Initiative has announced the selection of BRO KRIFT as its inaugural president and CEO. Krift previously served as executive editor at the Indianapolis Star.

Philanthropy Roundtable in Washington, D.C. has announced the election of CHRISTIE HERRERA as the organization’s next president and CEO. Herrera was a member of the Roundtable’s executive team and appointed as interim president and CEO in June 2023.
