A Blade of Grass in New York City has announced the selection of LU ZHANG as executive director, effective June 20. Zhang currently serves as the initiatives director of United States Artists, a national arts funding organization headquartered in Chicago, where she launched a department dedicated to expanding holistic support for artists and their communities. Previously, she served as deputy director of The Contemporary.

Birthright Israel Foundation in New York City has announced the selection of ELIAS SARATOVSKY as CEO, succeeding ISRAEL TAPOOHI, who served in the role for six years. Saratovsky most recently served as national director of regional affairs with the American Israel Public Affairs Committee and, prior to that, as the organization’s Southwest regional director.

The Elton John AIDS Foundation in London has announced the election of PAUL BUCCIERI to its board of directors. Buccieri currently serves as president and chair of the A+E Networks Group, which encompasses A&E, Lifetime, The HISTORY Channel, as well as A+E Networks International, A+E Studios, Six West Media, and Category 6 Media.

Faith in Action in Washington, D.C., has announced the planned departure of ALVIN HERRING from his position as executive director, effective March 31, 2024. In Herring’s five years of leadership, the organization received a multi-million-dollar donation from MacKenzie Scott and underwent a restructuring, resulting in an entirely Black and brown executive leadership team in which four of the six members are women.

The Fund for Global Human Rights has announced the appointment of GABRIELA BUCHER as CEO and president. Bucher most recently served as the executive director of Oxfam International.

Philanthropy Roundtable in Washington, D.C., has announced the appointment of AARON MACLEAN to its board of directors. MacLean currently serves as senior director at the Paul E. Singer Foundation and is a senior fellow at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies.

Rising United, a newly formed female empowerment organization in Los Angeles has announced the selection of DIANA LOCKWOOD as its executive director. Lockwood is the founder of STEAM Kids, LLC and was the first person, woman, and Latinx in the United States to earn a degree in curriculum and instruction with a focus on STEAM at the doctoral level.

T.D. Jakes Foundation, a workforce development and community building organization in Dallas, has announced the appointment of KELLEY CORNISH as its new CEO. Cornish previously held executive diversity roles for TD Bank Group and Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
