The F.M. Kirby Foundation in Morristown, New Jersey, has announced the addition of EMILY PRINCE as a program officer. Prince joins the foundation with a decade of experience in strategic grantmaking and administration, having most recently served as the program and administrative officer of the Peter and Carmen Lucia Buck Foundation.
Berkshire County Arc of Pittsfield, Massachusetts, has announced the promotion of MARYANN HYATT to president, effective July 1, 2022. KENNETH W. SINGER will remain in the role through a transition period, after which Hyatt will advance from her current role as chief operating officer.
Candid has announced the appointments ANGELA F. WILLIAMS, president and CEO of United Way Worldwide, and ESTHER BENJAMIN, CEO and executive director of World Education Services, to its board of trustees. The latest additions boost the board to 20 trustees, more than half of whom are women or people of color.
The Gates Cambridge Trust in the United Kingdom has announced the appointment of professor EILÍS FERRAN as provost, effective October 1. Ferran, the first woman to lead the organization, is a distinguished academic and has served as a pro-vice-chancellor for institutional and international relations. BUSTER POSEY, who recently retired from Major League Baseball, was a seven-time All-Star, three-time World Series champion, and the 2012 National League Most Valuable Player. JEFF BERRY is an attorney, sports agent, and the longtime co-head of CAA Sports’ baseball division.
The Women Donors Network (WDN) and WDN Action, its network of feminist activists, have announced LEENA BARAKAT as president and CEO. Barakat has been a member of WDN since 2015, joined its board of directors in 2017, and became a member of the board’s executive committee in 2018, where she currently serves as vice chair.
World Resources Institute has announced a new leadership team will guide the organization into the future as it continues to develop critical solutions for people and planet. The team includes ADRIANA LOBO, managing director, global presence and national action; WANJIRA MATHAI, managing director, Africa and global partnerships; JANET RANGANATHAN, managing director, strategy, learning and results; and CRAIG HANSON, managing director, programs. A fifth managing director, yet to be publicly announced, will oversee global delivery.
