The Barr Foundation in Boston has announced the appointment of TRACY PALANDJIAN to its board of trustees. Palandjian is the CEO and co-founder of Social Finance and previously served as a managing director for 11 years at the Parthenon Group, where she established and led the Nonprofit Practice and worked with foundations and NGOs both in the United States and globally.
The Eugene and Agnes E. Meyer Foundation in Washington, D.C., has announced the appointment of JAQUELINE TUCKER as vice president for community partnerships and strategy. Most recently, Tucker served as the first chief race and social equity officer for the City of Alexandria, Virginia, where she developed and implemented its first racial justice and social equity strategy.
Hopelab in San Francisco has announced the selection of KIM BRIGHT as vice president of finance and operations. Bright most recently served as senior vice president and chief operating officer, for the Campaign Legal Center, and previously served as director of operations at the Brookings Institute and as lead associate at Booz Allen Hamilton.
The John A. Hartford Foundation in New York City has announced the election of GINNA BAIK and PHYLLIS D. MEADOWS to its board of trustees. Baik is the Senior Living Alexa Smart Properties leader for Amazon. Meadows is a senior fellow with the Detroit program at the Kresge Foundation.
The John S. and James L. Knight Foundation in Miami has announced the appointment of MICHAEL MARSICANO and MATTHEW STEPKA to its board of trustees. Marsicano is the former president and CEO of Foundation For The Carolinas. Stepka is the managing partner of Machina Ventures, an investment firm focused on early stage artificial intelligence and data science.
The Kresge Foundation in Troy, Michigan, has announced the appointment of SCOTT KRESGE to its board of trustees. Kresge is the eighth family representative to serve on the board and succeeds his sister CYNTHIA KRESGE, who has served as a trustee since 2013. Scott has been a hardware/software test and development engineer in the medical device industry for nearly four decades.
The Moody Foundation in Austin, Texas, has announced the selection of COURTNEY ROGERS as its director of education strategy and impact. Previously, Rogers oversaw special projects for the Dallas Independent School District’s office of transformation and innovation and served as executive director of the Educator Collective.
The Asian Cultural Council (ACC) has announced the election of JOSIE CRUZ NATORI as chair of the board of trustees. Cruz Natori has served on ACC’s board since 1995; in 2000, she helped establish the ACC Philippines Foundation and the council’s affiliate office in Manila, where she also serves on the board.
The Entertainment Community Fund (formerly the Actors Fund) in New York City has announced the election of ANNETTE BENING as chair of the board of trustees. Bening joined the board in 2010 and was appointed vice chair in 2016. She succeeds BRIAN STOKES MITCHELL, who has served as chair since 2004.
Recess Art in New York City has announced the appointment of LINDSAY CATHERINE HARRIS to the position of co-director. Harris will succeed Recess founder and former co-director ALLISON FREEDMAN WEISBERG, who stepped down in December 2022 after 14 years. Harris joins Recess from the Brooklyn Museum, where they served in various roles since 2015, including as director of education since 2021.
