The Draper Richards Kaplan Foundation (DRK) in Menlo Park, California, has announced that HOLLY KUZMICH will join the organization’s leadership team as a Dallas-based managing director, effective December 1. Kuzmich joins DRK from the George W. Bush Institute, where she has served as executive director since 2013. She has 25 years of public policy and leadership experience, serving in senior positions in the government, nonprofit, and private sectors.
The Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation has announced that WENDY GUILLIES will retire in the fall after 22 years with the foundation, including the last seven as CEO. During her tenure, Guillies focused the foundation on new and impactful education programs and on critical civic institutions, ranging from the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum to the National World War I Museum and Memorial.
The Center for Public Integrity has announced two additions to its board: OLIVIER KAMANDA and SUE SUH. Kamanda is a product manager at Google, and Suh is chief people officer at TIME.
After nine years as director of the Chinati Foundation in Marfa, Texas, JENNY MOORE is stepping down on July 31, the New York Times reports. MARELLA CONSOLINI, who was Chinati's chief operations officer from 2010 to 2014, will return to serve as interim director while the board conducts an international search for Moore’s successor.
Feeding America has announced the election of five nonprofit officials to its national board of directors. The new board members include ANNE ALONZO, former senior vice president and chief sustainability officer of Corteva Agriscience; ERIC COOPER, president and CEO of the San Antonio Food Bank; LISA MENSAH, president and CEO of Opportunity Finance Network, who will become CEO of Oregon Community Foundation in September; and TONI STANGER-McLAUGHLIN, CEO of the Native American Agriculture Fund.
The Kansas Health Foundation has announced that JUNETTA EVERETT is the new chair of its board of directors, succeeding JEFFRY L. JACK. First elected to the KHF board in 2014, Everett has since served on the audit, finance, governance, and strategic planning committees. For the past year, she has been the board’s vice chair.
Westchester Jewish Community Services (WJCS) has announced the election of BRUCE M. FREYER as board president. Freyer became involved with WJCS in 1997 and has held a variety of board positions, including chair of the development and Jewish programs committees and member of the audit, budget and finance, children and youth services, government relations, investment, managed care, and nominating committees.
