					Arizona
The Community Foundation for Southern Arizona in Tucson has announced it is partnering with Tome Gnome and Tucson Spotlight to host another Solutions-Focused Community Book Club on January 23, 2025. The book under discussion will be Our Wives Under the Sea by Julia Armfield.
Massachusetts
The Massachusetts Housing Partnership (MHP) has announced the launch of ONE+, a mortgage program designed to make home ownership more accessible for low- and moderate-income first-time home buyers in 29 Massachusetts communities. The program is launching with more than $11 million in public and private support led by the Commonwealth, Eastern Bank and the Eastern Bank Foundation, and the Boston Foundation’s Racial Wealth Gap Partnership, a broad-based, cross-industry group of more than 40 leaders aimed at creating and preserving wealth in under-resourced communities across the greater Boston region, including by making home ownership more affordable.
Mississippi
The Community Foundation for Mississippi has announced that its director of communications and insights, Sophie McNeil Wolf, was awarded a Lantern Award by the Southern Public Relations Federation for her contributions to CFM’s inaugural Friendsgiving event in 2023. The awards recognize outstanding public relations achievements across Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi, and the Florida panhandle, honoring the work of public relations professionals in the region.
New Jersey
The Northern New Jersey Community Foundation in Hackensack has announced the creation of the Joanna Shyong Scholarship Fund. Established by Shyong’s children, the fund will memorialize her commitment to teaching and make annual scholarship awards based on high academic achievement to a college-bound high school senior attending Northern Valley Regional High School at Demarest.
New York
The Bronx Community Foundation has announced grants of $25,000 each to 10 grassroots organizations supporting asylum seekers in the Bronx. Provided through the foundation’s Equity and Justice Fund, the resources will address critical needs, including legal services, housing support, and job training. Recipients include Afrikana, Hondurans Against AIDS, Mercy Center, and the Safe Passage Project.
Pennsylvania
The Chester County Community Foundation in West Chester has announced capacity building grants totaling $45,505 in support of 15 area nonprofits.
